KLAB (pronounced ‘collab’ - as in collaboration) Concerts will be a brand new concert series launching in London in September 2025. The series will see its’ resident ensemble The KLAB Soloists collaborate with a different artist, group, item, or art form, for each performance. Crucially, each concert will feature a piece composed specifically for the musicians and this collaborator, even if the collaborator is not a musician (for example, a dancer), as well as other pieces for the musicians alone.

In the UK, there is a lack of repertoire intentionally written for more than one art form. Collaboration between art forms exists of course - ballet and film, for example. However, a performance of ballet is the result of a reaction from a choreographer and director to a piece of pre-composed music. Watching a film in the cinema or on TV is a result of a reaction from a composer to a moving picture without music. The primary idea behind KLAB Concerts is to eradicate this timelapse.
